Job description :
An exciting opportunity to see the world as part of Total’s Exploration and Production (E&P) team has arisen for senior engineers with strong experience and expertise in the required discipline. Our E&P team is active in 42 countries across the globe and current opportunities offer attractive, long-term contracts in various international locations on a family or rotational basis.
This expert role is a key focal point for many onshore, offshore and external stakeholders seeking advice and input on a wide range of fluids related issues; from Environmental Management to progress within the fluids group.
You will play a key part in the drilling activity schedule through your planning and organisation of activities for the fluids group as well as through your technical management of contracts and cost controlling.
You will have an important role in ensuring the highest levels of Health and Safety in relation to Fluids, promoting good practice and taking necessary action to correct hazardous situations.
You will add to the commercial success of Total by using your expertise to propose new solutions or alternative products in a risk based approach.
Required skills :
Education :
- Will hold a degree/HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant field and be able to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge in the fluids area.
Experience :
- Will have a substantial level of experience of working in offshore operations.
Skills :
- Will have a good, working knowledge of standards, rules and procedures in the fluids and environmental areas and be trained in statutory regulations.
- Will have a high level of awareness of Health and Safety issues, along with the ability to encourage conscientiousness in others where health and safety is concerned.
- Will be adept at working in a team, collaborating and working in partnership to share expertise.
- Will be an good negotiator and communicator, fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Will be motivated to constantly update your knowledge and expertise.
- Will have proven planning and analysis skills as well as the ability to manage risk.
- Will be able to operate flexibly and sensitively in multi-cultural teams and local environments.
- Will be able and keen to travel the World and live in a variety of countries.
